Rams Head Live! in Baltimore gets lit up tomorrow by five bands with a ticket price of just $9 (7 p.m. doors, all ages welcome). Headlining is Charm City favorite Red Light District performing modern and classic rock. Also on the bill are The Under, Aurafixation, A Day Off Earth and Ornamusement.  

A former Fort Smith resident will kick off her world tour here tonight, promising to bring high quality rock, pop and soul songs for all ages. Tonight's show, which begins at 7 at the Arkansas Best Corporation Performing Arts Center, 55 S. Seventh St., will feature many tracks from Sarah Silva's self-titled debut compact disc, which will be available for sale at the concert. The singer-songwriter specializes in pop, rock and soul, and her on-stage theatrics and energy have been compared favorably to Que  

Samuel Snyder, 27, of Pottsville, may have had an edge over the competition in the final round of Schuylkill Idol VII held Tuesday at center court of the Schuylkill Mall - he was born in the 1980s. The second round of competition Tuesday had an '80s theme. While Julia Schultz, 16, of Schuylkill Haven, and Nicole Mackalonis, 17, of Frackville, weren't born until the 1990s, at least Snyder had a few years in the decade to give him a head start.  

Ann and Nancy Wilson , widely considered classic rock's leading sister duo, often entertain girly urges that lead to songs about lovers and, well, hearts. But if you pretend the poppiest '80s synth bits never happened, you're left with something more akin to a beefy Fleetwood Mac with pointier guitars. That intro from "Crazy On You" is no joke; add in a monstrous riff or two on the order of "Barracuda," and maybe it's time to reconsider where we file them.
